MoneyPenny is the ultimate Honeysuckle hangout. It perfectly nails that "effortlessly cool" retro vibe without being pretentious. • The Food: The Sticky Pork Belly is a religious experience, and their pizzas are some of the best in town (with incredible GF/Vegan options that actually taste great). • The Drinks: Hands down the best cocktail list in Newcastle. The bartenders here are artists. • The Vibe: Grab a seat outside at sunset—there isn’t a better view of the harbor. Fast service, killer music, and consistently great food. It’s my go-to every single time.

We had such a great night at Moneypenny. The place has a really welcoming vibe, perfect for catching up with friends. The food was very delicious — the sticky pork bites were a favorite at the table, and the sweet potato chips didn’t last long at all. The cocktails were spot on and made the evening even better. Everything from the atmosphere to the food and drinks just felt easy and enjoyable. Definitely one of those places you’re happy you chose, and we’ll be back for sure.

Good venue, great location, nice food! Lunch specials are great value! And tasty. Chicken pizza was a hit and they allow takeaway as well couldn’t finish our meal. Staff were really friendly and the chef even checked on how we were enjoying it as he walked past. Dog friendly restaurant and staff which is always a big tick in our book! Cute decor and fun vibes being right next to the water. Parking in this area is metered and we had to walk about 3 minutes so it’s fairly close by. Parking uses an app which is handy!!

I had a very pleasant experience dining in this simple and good-enough location with my wife. All the stars go to the food and service. The viands were unexpectedly exquisite, well prepared and presented. The people serving strived to do their best and checking on us from time to time. We are more of the soft-drinker kind of diners, but my wife gave the Piña Colada an opportunity, and it didn't disappoint at all. Whoever is willing to get a good treat in a loose environment and has no issue with standing for some minutes in a waiting line everytime they want to order food or drinks, this is a good option on the harbour side.

Visited all the way from Melbourne for our holiday, delicious food, good drinks, and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely loved it! Highly recommended if you’re gluten free and Vegan as they got lots of options…

A nice place to eat near the sea. Ordered the Arancini Balls, Lasagane Bites, Garlic Prawn Pizza and the Cheeseburger. The highlight for the food was the Arancini Balls, very crispy, a great layer of flavour mixed with the pesto sauce. The Garlic Prawn Pizza was nice though a bit more sauce probably owuld elevate it more. The beef patite in the cheeseburger was a bit dry and the chips served with it was a bit cold already which was the only let down. Overall, good experience.

I’ve been to this restaurant bar twice now, and both times were amazing. The place has such a welcoming vibe that you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The cocktails are always spot‑on, and the food is fresh, flavourful, and consistently delicious. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and I definitely will next time. 💯 Absolutely worth checking out.

My first time at Money Penny (28/1/2026) and I am highly impressed. I had the Prawn and Blue Swimmer Crab Linguine and it was amazing. I also had the Sweet Potato Fries to share as a starter and they were the best I've ever had. The service is next level. Outstanding. Never had to wait long at all for meals or drinks to be served. The Staff are friendly and accommodating as well. I'll definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to all for a pleasant experience. Oh and the view on the Harbour just the cherry on top.
